My Story
I wasn’t always an entrepreneur or social media manager. Or in the position to teach ANYONE about business. Seriously, I was an art teacher for 5 years with no experience.
I started in 2016, but I wasn’t 100% sure it was what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. Don’t get me wrong, I loved my students. But I wanted more flexibility, freedom, and opportunity to prioritize the things that mattered most to me: myself and my loved ones.
Everything changed in 2020, when circumstances forced me to teach from home. I learned that I DID NOT like teaching form home in the middle of a pandemic, but I LOVED working from home. How could I make this a reality?
I learned about social media management while scrolling on TikTok in March of 2021 and started GEEKING out on how I could make this my thing. I dedicated the next couple of months to enrolling in courses and Google-searching until I had figured out how to start a business with social media management and earn an income.
By the time the school year ended that year, I had filled up a roster full of clients, quit my job, matched my teaching salary, and we even sold our house to move to a different part of the state!
Since then…
I went on to create a 6-figure social media management business in less than a year, quadrupling my salary by the end of my first year in business. But money isn’t everything. I’ve worked with businesses that make a difference in education, health, media, finance, coaching, business, and the arts.
I’ve gotten to travel and work. I’ve gotten to prioritize the things that I love in life (I have time for hobbies, are you kidding me?!) and make my own schedule. And cuddle with the pets during the day, which is a cherry on top.
There were a lot of mistakes, Googling, and trying to figure things out myself along the way, but hey…I did it so you don’t have to!
I’m here to tell you that you CAN earn an income with social media management, the life you are only dreaming of is available to you, and that you DESERVE IT.
